Greenwood, 24, began at Hebburn Town Juniors and Sunderland, then joined Arsenal’s academy in 2018.

He moved to Leeds United in 2020 in a deal reported at around £1.5 million, making his senior debut in an FA Cup defeat at Crawley Town in January 2021.

He made his Premier League debut later in 2021, then earned his first top-flight start on the final day of 2021-22 when Leeds beat Brentford to secure survival. He scored his first Premier League goal in a 4-3 win over Bournemouth at Elland Road in November 2022.

Loan spells followed at Middlesbrough and Preston North End, including a goal against Sunderland in a 4-0 Wear-Tees win at the Stadium of Light in October 2023. Last summer he joined Pogon Szczecin on a three-year deal with an option for a further year, for a reported €1.8 million to €2 million, the club’s record signing.
