Ranking the 20 most valuable clubs in the EFL right now based on their first team squads

The EFL season got underway in August and the transfer window has now closed as teams all set their sights on a promising year ahead.

Clubs across the divisions will all be aiming to contend for promotion, and the transfer market shutting will have all of their attention now firmly on getting the best out of the squads available to them.

The Championship is set to be fiercely contended, with the likes of West Ham, Wolves and Burnley coming down from the Premier League, along with Norwich City, Middlesbrough, Southampton and many others all also targeting a top two or top eight finish.

After a busy summer of transfer spending, the valuation of clubs has changed dramatically compared to the end of the previous campaign.

The Addicks' most valuable player in the first team is summer signing Arthur Okonkwo, who has arrived from Wrexham with a value of £4.3 million.
