Chelsea will be happy to have Nicolas Jackson as part of the first team picture next season if a move away fails to materialise according to reports.
Jackson is expected to leave this summer, and he was left out of the squad for the win against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday night.
The 24-year-old isn’t expected to be part of the squad for Sunday’s game against AC Milan either, and it appears his Chelsea career is over.
Jackson has seen his future questioned following the arrival of both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, with Pedro in-particular making an instant impact.

Maresca has said the situation with Jackson is open, and there are a number of clubs interested in the Senegal international’s services.
Jackson is said to be top of Newcastle’s list, whilst Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are fans of the Senegalese.
Chelsea are believed to have set their asking price at £80m, but it’s been reported clubs believe that can be negotiated down.
It remains to be seen what offers come in, but Mail Sport have reported in the event of Jackson staying club insiders would be happy to have him as part of the first team picture, and he’s still seen as a valued member of Enzo Maresca’s squad.
With Jackson looking like he could leave, Chelsea are working on deals to bring two more attackers to Stamford Bridge.
