Marcus Thuram, with a score of 8/10, was voted the outright best player of the third round of Serie A fixtures, according to the average ratings in the Italian press.
The Nerazzurri striker made it four goals from three league matches this season with his brace of almost identical finishes during his side’s 4-0 thrashing of Atalanta on Friday night.
Two other Inter players came away with ratings of 7.5; Nicolo Barella after his thunderous volley and fellow Italy international Federico Dimarco, who had another great game from left wing-back.
Saul Coco, who kept a clean sheet and scored the only goal in Torino’s 1-0 away win in Venezia, was also given an average rating of 7.5 in the Italian back pages.
Nuno Tavares provided two wonderful assists on his Serie A debut, the second of which handed Lazio a 2-1 lead over Milan, but the Biancocelesti were not able to come away with the three points. He gets a 7.5, too, as does Lecce centre-back Kialonda Gaspar, who played a big role in holding onto a 1-0 lead with 10 men for the entire second half.
