Ahead of their opening Champions League clash with Galatasaray tomorrow, Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller is looking forward to a ‘special’ night in Europe.
"We know we haven't drawn the easiest opponents. But in football, you always have your chance. It's going to be a really great experience and a great week of football.
"One advantage for us is our stadium. With the great support, we're in a position to celebrate great football. Galatasaray has a strong team and a high level of footballing quality. Defensively, it will be a big challenge.
The key is good intensity and high quality in our play with the ball. Ansgar Knauff plays a big role in our plans. He's already very experienced and can excel in games like this and deliver a brutal performance on the pitch," he added.
The Hessen club's coach ruled out Mario Götze, but hopes he can return for their Bundesliga clash with 1.FC Union Berlin on Sunday. He also highlighted Galatasaray's strengths and depth.
"We'll see tomorrow if Osimhen plays. There's no question he brings his quality. If not, Icardi would play, who has also proven many times that he can score goals.
“In the end, it doesn't matter who starts up front; both [Osimhen and Icardi] have tremendous quality, but of course, their game is different.
"I really like Leroy Sané; he's a great guy and has incredibly good dribbling. Nene Brown will be looking forward to this match, and I'm sure he'll have a good game. Overall, we need to defend well as a team," he explained.
