Ahead of their crunch Champions League match with Atlético Madrid tonight, Dino Toppmöller noted just how big the task is for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Spanish capital.

"Of course, we noticed their result against Real Madrid. Atléti has been one of the top teams in Europe over the past ten years. They have incredible intensity in their play and a strong crowd.

“We know what to expect and are prepared. We'll have our moments and have to play very cleanly and objectively to put in a top performance and take something home with us.

Toppmöller also tipped his cap towards his counterpart Diego Someone before providing a quick update on the Hessen club's personnel for the fixture.

“Simeone is an incredible coach. I take my hat off to him; he's won several titles here and is an exceptional person. He's very authentic and lives football from the very first second.

“The personnel situation is very good. With the exception of Rasmus Kristensen, all players are available," he added.

Jonathan Burkardt, ahead of only his second Champions League appearance, was also aware of how big this game is and the treat Atlético Madrid possess up front.

"I'm really looking forward to my second Champions League game, so we can continue to gain experience and hopefully achieve a good result.

“Alvarez and Griezmann are both incredible players. But I'm more focused on my game and ours. Nevertheless, they're great players we're playing against," the striker explained.
