Torino already have a replacement for Italy international Raoul Bellanova lined up, following serious interest from Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta, who are also looking for a new right wing-back.
Torino are hoping to replace their current star wing-back with Feyenoord defender Marcus Holmgren Pedersen, who spent the 2023-24 season on loan in Serie A with Sassuolo.
The club have already opened talks with the player’s entourage and the parties will continue to discuss the possibility of a move to Turin in the coming hours.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Torino already have an agreement in principle with Pedersen over a three-year contract, but only if Bellanova leaves for Atalanta this window.
He adds that Atalanta are in ‘advanced’ talks for Bellanova, who is valued in the region of €20m by his current employers in Turin.
Atalanta had previously agreed a deal with Flamengo for Brazilian full-back Wesley França, but his current club would rather keep hold of him for their next few league matches, which has put that move on hold for now.
