FC Barcelona manage to beat Real Betis away from home and reinforce their lead at the top of the La Liga table. The Catalan giants needed to ensure victory in this game and that is exactly what they ended up doing.
An impressive 3-5 victory for Hansi Flick’s team, it saw Ferran Torres score a hattrick while Roony Bardghji and Lamine Yamal got a goal each as well. With this win, Barça have managed to make sure that they remain at the top of the Spanish First Division for now.
Here are the player ratings for Hansi Flick’s team.
Player Ratings:
Joan Garcia: 7.5
Made two important saves and his passing was as reliable as ever. Unfortunately, he could not do much about the goals he conceded during the game.
Jules Kounde: 6.5
Provided a great assist for Barça’s opening goal but made a lot of unnecessary mistakes apart from that. He was directly responsible for the first goal that Real Betis scored and even gave away a reckless penalty.
Pau Cubarsi: 8.0
Essentially flawless with his passes and strong in his duels, the Spanish centre-back had a great outing for Barcelona. Top performance from the youngster in this game.
Gerard Martin: 7.5
Very solid in this game, both in terms of his defensive work and his passing, and Gerard Martin continues to prove why Hansi Flick can trust him as a centre-back moving forward.
Alejandro Balde: 6.5
Showed great promise initially but ended up being replaced at half-time since he seemed to be struggling with some discomfort.
Eric Garcia: 8.0
Aggressive in his duels and always ready to engage with the opposition if needed, Eric Garcia was a big part of this game and how Barça managed to win it.
Pedri: 9.0
Two assists to his name, and other chances were brilliantly created by him as well during this game. Moreover, he catered to the team’s defensive needs as well while also ensuring his presence in the team’s offensive plans.
Roony Bardghji: 9.0
Scored a brilliant goal and provided a great assist as well, Roony Bardghji was in his groove today. Almost looked untouchable today, and constantly created a lot of threats for Real Betis to deal with.
Lamine Yamal: 8.5
Looked impressive in a more central role, and even dropped deep to help out defensively. Apart from that, converted the penalty that Barcelona received and created chances for his teammates as well.
Marcus Rashford: 6.5
Kept quiet by Real Betis tonight, but he had his moments. His speed and explosiveness definitely helped the Catalan giants exploit some space from time to time.
Ferran Torres: 10
The Spaniard managed to score a hattrick in the first half of the game and he essentially ensured that Barça managed to come back after initially being a goal down. Brilliant awareness, and it was crucial for Barça early on.
Substitutes:
Andreas Christensen: 6.0
Solid cameo from the Danish defender.
Frenkie de Jong: 6.5
Added some composure to the team once Pedri came off, and that proved to be quite useful.
Marc Bernal: 7.0
Immensely impactful after coming on and showcased exactly why people have always been excited about him. From his composure to his tenacity, Marc Bernal had it all.
Fermin Lopez: 6.0
Eager to make an impact but gets carried away way too much at times in terms of being selfish in front of goal.
