Achraf Hakimi was withdrawn before the break after treatment, with Fabián Ruiz sent on (39.).

After the restart, Brest went close as Kamory Doumbia struck the post (50.).

Moments later, a Paris Saint-Germain cross was turned into the net by Bradley Locko, but the effort was ruled out for a push on the defender by Warren Zaïre-Emery (52.).

Matvey Safonov kept the visitors in front with sharp stops, including a flying save from Doumbia's header (56.), while João Neves was denied on the line by Egil Selvik (71.). Brest appeals as Bradley Locko went down in the box were cut short by an offside flag (82.), and Safonov again thwarted Pathé Mboup with a late curler (88.).
