According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, top European clubs, including Tottenham and Manchester United, are closely monitoring Dušan Vlahović’s contract situation at Juventus, hoping to secure the Serbian striker on a free transfer with a cut-price wage deal.

Vlahović’s Contract and Financial Terms

Vlahović’s current contract with Juventus expires in June 2026. However, the current financial arrangement makes a renewal with Juventus at the existing terms “impossible.” The striker is currently earning €12 million net per season.

For Juventus to renew his deal, Vlahović would need to accept a significant wage cut, potentially down to around €7-8 million plus bonuses.

Premier League Clubs See a Free Transfer Opportunity

The fact that Serbia failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup means Vlahović will not have a major international tournament to boost his value next summer, making the situation entirely dependent on his club performances.

This scenario has put several top clubs on high alert, including Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham, Manchester United, and Barcelona. These teams recognize a rare opportunity: securing a 25-year-old number nine on a free transfer in the summer of 2026, when his contract runs out.

The report suggests that rival clubs might play “anticipo” (anticipation) and offer Vlahović a lower wage—around €8-9 million—but sweeten the deal with a sizable signing bonus to make the overall package more appealing than a renewed deal at Juventus. Starting in February 2026, Vlahović will be legally allowed to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with any new club.
