Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Victoria Pelova following the expiry of her contract with local rivals Arsenal.

The Dutch midfielder spent the last three and a half seasons with the Gunners, where she twice won the League Cup as well as being a part of the team that lifted the Champions League and inaugural Champions Cup.

Pelova left Arsenal on the expiry of her contract but hasn't moved far to find her new club after signing for Spurs.

"It feels nice to be here, I had a lovely welcome from everyone," the 27-year-old said on her arrival. 

"When I had conversations with Martin [Ho], he was so good. It felt immediately right to go to Spurs.

"I can't wait for the season, and I'm so happy to be here."

Last season, Pelova featured 30 times for Arsenal in all competitions, chipping in with one goal.
