Austri international Kevin Danso will make his return to the Premier League after Tottenham have confirmed the signature of the 26-year-old defender.

Danso, who spent one season on loan at Southampton back in 2019-20, has made a name for himself on the continent after a successful loan spell with Fortuna Düsseldorf paved the way to Ligue 1 outfit Lens before featuring 126 times for Les Sang et Or across three-and-a-half seasons.

Tottenham have signed the centre-back on an initial six month loan, with an obligation to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Spurs will reportedly pay €25m at the end of the season and have supposedly beaten Wolves to his signature.

The former Augsburg academy graduate is the second key defensive cog to leave Stade Bollaert-Delelis this window after Manchester City secured the services of young Uzbek centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov.
