Following an aggressive recruitment drive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium under manager Roberto De Zerbi—highlighted by the signings of West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes for £85 million and Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali for a record-breaking £100 million—Spurs are now turning their attention to player sales to comply with strict Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Richarlison has been identified as a key candidate to help recoup funds. By setting a relatively modest €30 million fee, the Tottenham hierarchy are signalling their willingness to accept a market-value hit on the forward in order to facilitate a swift transfer.

However, finalising an agreement with interested clubs may prove challenging due to the complexity of personal terms.

While Spurs’ asking price is within reach for elite suitors across Europe and the Middle East, Richarlison is reportedly demanding a substantial salary package of around €10 million per year.

The 29-year-old, whose Tottenham contract runs until June 2027, is unwilling to compromise on his wages to force a move.

While several clubs in Turkey have shown interest, Richarlison’s demands have slowed negotiations. The ‘fantastic’ Brazilian has produced moments of genuine quality since arriving from Everton, but recurring injuries have hampered his stint in North London.

With Eli Junior Kroupi and Rafael Leao on their radar, Spurs appear ready to move on from Richarlison as they continue what has been an astonishing window.
