Tottenham Hotspur made a move on transfer deadline day for Randal Kolo Muani. However, the Premier League side also had its eye on another player before the summer window closed.

While Aston Villa and Newcastle United made late pushes for him, Tottenham ultimately secured Kol Muani’s services for this 2025-26 season. Moreover, Spurs also landed another standout with ties to PSG as they beat out Chelsea for Xavi Simons.

Nonetheless, the English club couldn’t feature three players with ties to the Parisians. Still, perhaps in the future they can revisit this interest.

TEAMtalk’s Dean Jones reports that Tottenham made a late attempt to sign PSG midfielder Senny Mayulu this summer. PSG, however, made it clear he was not for sale, seeing him as a key part of their future. Mayulu still has two years remaining on his contract.

Long gone are the days that PSG youth products are sold without given a proper chance to succeed. Over the years, the Ligue 1 side have lost quality players way too early, and so Mayulu will have an opportunity at PSG before he considers searching for greener pastures.
