Forward is eyeing more game time after a stuttering season
Standard Sport reported previously that the winger had topped Spurs’ shortlist as Roberto De Zerbi looks to add a winger to his squad, with the Italian looking to reshape the club in his image.
Savinho, 22, struggled for regular game time at the Etihad Stadium last term, and he could not hold down a regular starting berth during Pep Guardiola’s last campaign in charge.
He played 24 times in the top flight last season, scoring just once as City missed out on the Premier League title to Arsenal.
Now, however, it appears that the Brazilian has asked to leave the club, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the forward wants to develop and play more.

That will come as good news for Spurs, who are keen to keep their summer spending spree going.
De Zerbi has already splashed £185million on Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali to rebuild his midfield, while £52million was what they had to pay Brighton and Hove Albion for Jan Paul van Hecke.
Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka have also come in as free signings.
As for City, a potential departure for Savinho could see them dip into the transfer market for a new winger.
On their books at present are Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku, Antoine Semenyo and Phil Foden who can all play out wide.
Add to that Jack Grealish returning from his loan spell at Everton and the signing of young Leicester winger Jeremy Monga, and first-team action for Savinho could be further limited.
