In a recent post on X, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Manchester City winger Savinho. It has been mentioned that Spurs have to pay more than €50m to land the Brazilian wide player this summer.
The 21-year-old managed to shine at times for Man City in the previous campaign when he put in a string of productive displays on the right side of Pep Guardiola’s attack. Savio registered three goals and grabbed 13 assists in 48 matches for the Mancunian outfit last season across all competitions.
The Brazilian talent proved his worth in the final third by averaging 2.8 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 38.2% of his attempts on target. Savio was even tidy when distributing possession in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 80.8% in the top tier of English football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, it won’t be easy for Spurs to snap him up on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Savio is a good dribbler with the ball and can make some driving runs with it out on the flanks. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.
The Brazilian sensation mainly operates as a right-winger but can also function as a left-sided wide player or as an attacking midfielder if told to do so by his manager. He has already got some experience in the Premier League and is well-equipped to make an instant impact at the North London club.
Savio would no doubt add more goals and creativity to Tottenham boss Thomas Frank’s attack. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season.
At 21, Savio has the potential to be a world-class winger someday. Therefore, Spurs would do well to get a deal over the line for him before the end of this summer transfer period.
