In a recent report, journalist Fraser Fletcher mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are in the race for Red Bull Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa. It has been claimed that Spurs would have to rival Arsenal, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in the race to acquire the services of the Norway international this summer.

Nusa’s Impressive Form In German Football

Nusa enjoyed a good run of form at the German club in the previous campaign after he put in a series of impressive displays for them on the left flank. The 21-year-old scored five goals and earned four assists in 35 matches for RB Leipzig last season on all fronts.

The Norway international is currently among the most talented wide players in the Bundesliga. Hence, Spurs would do well to get a deal done for him later this year.

His current contract at the Red Bull Arena will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi Go For Nusa?

Nusa is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third and can strike the ball with venom from long range.

The Norway international can even chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. However, Nusa has to find a way to be more consistent in front of the opponent’s goal. Furthermore, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to bring him on board this off-season.

We can expect Nusa to bring more firepower to Tottenham Hotspur boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming years.

At 21, Nusa has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each season. However, De Zerbi has to be patient with his progress before he can unlock the best out of the talented wide player at the London club. All in all, Tottenham would be wise to go for Nusa this summer.
