In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for West Ham United talent Crysencio Summerville. It is understood that Spurs are facing competition in the form of Aston Villa, Brentford, Everton, Bournemouth and other European clubs in the race to land the Dutch wide player.

Summerville’s Impressive Record In English Football

Summerville is having a decent campaign at the East London club as he has produced a series of impressive performances for them in the final third. The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and secured four assists in 26 matches for West Ham this season across all competitions.

The Dutch talent is currently among the best wingers in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no surprise that Spurs are hoping to get a deal done for him this summer.

His current contract at the London Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Tottenham to snap him up this off-season.

Is Summerville A Good Fit For Tottenham Hotspur?

Summerville is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances in the final third and can strike the ball with power from long range. Summerville is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also function as a right-winger if needed.

The Dutch sensation can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham.

We can expect Summerville to add more firepower to Spurs head coach Thomas Frank’s frontline. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team spot at the London club in the coming years.

At 24, Summerville has got his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for Spurs’ needs in the summer transfer window. He will also help the North London club get back to challenging for one of the European spots in the Premier League over the next few seasons. Thus, it makes sense for Tottenham to go all out to bring Summervile on board later this year.
