In a recent segment on his Youtube channel, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur have agreed on a deal to sign West Ham United ace Mohammed Kudus this summer. Romano said,
“Congratulations to Tottenham because they signed an excellent player to start this new project with the new coach Thomas Frank. Agreement done for Mohamed Kudus. I told you over the weekend only Tottenham despite the reports about Chelsea, despite the reports about more clubs, the player only wanted to go to Tottenham.
“Very clear in his intentions despite calls and approaches from several clubs. Kudus wanted to play for Spurs and now the deal is completed. £55 million paid in three years for Mohamed Kudus to leave West Ham and join Tottenham Hotspur.
“The contract will be valid for the next six years with medical tests to take place this week in London. Next 24 hours the first part and then Kudus will complete everything right after and so an important addition for Tottenham, an ambitious move.”
Kudus had an inconsistent campaign at the East London club but managed to catch the eye at times in the final third. The Ghana international played in 35 matches for West Ham last season, scoring five times and securing four assists in various competitions.

The 24-year-old did well to average 2.61 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, he kept 28% of his attempts on target. Kudus was even tidy when distributing possession in the opposition half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 83.6% in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com).
Kudus is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with the ball in the final third. The Ghana international has got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances in the opponent’s half and can strike the ball with venom from long range.
The talented attacker mainly operates as a right-sided wide player but can also fill in as a left-sided winger or as a centre-forward if needed.
We can expect Kudus to add more firepower to Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank’s frontline. He will also help Spurs challenge across all fronts in the coming seasons.
At 24, Kudus has his best years ahead of him which makes him a decent signing for the North London club to pull off in this summer transfer period.
