Tottenham Hotspur have approached Al-Diriyah sporting director Dougie Freedman to lead a revamp of the club, according to the Independent.

They are also considering Sean Dyche as a potential replacement for Igor Tudor. However, the former Nottingham Forest manager is reluctant to take on a short-term role.

There could also be complications with his settlement from the City Ground club if he joined Spurs right now.

Tottenham are preparing ahead of next season, and a squad overhaul could be on the cards regardless of which division they are in.

They want to appoint a sporting director, but luring Freedman away from the Middle East could prove tricky.

Spurs also have his Brentford counterpart Tiago Pinto on their radar and whoever they appoint is expected to have a huge say about who becomes their next permanent manager.

Tudor was given the job until the end of the season after Thomas Frank’s dismissal, but his position is at risk following defeats in each of his first four games in charge.

Spurs are back in action on Sunday with a trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool when Premier League action resumes.

They play the return leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Atletico next Wednesday, and the Croatian may not be in the dugout following the 5-2 defeat on Tuesday night.

Fabio Paratici left Tottenham in January after his second stint as the club’s sporting director, and Spurs are desperate to get the perfect man to succeed him.

They will have to stay up to boost their chances of attracting the right candidate, and the result against Liverpool on Sunday could be crucial to their Premier League campaign.
