Udogie was not with the Italian national team during the September international break, staying back in London, and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club have been providing him with much-needed support after the incident.

There is no suggestion that the agent involved is his, and he has not been charged with any offence after getting bailed.

The 31-year-old was arrested by the police on suspicion of possession of firearms with intent, blackmail and driving without a licence after they were called.

The suspect was also investigated for allegedly blackmailing and making threats against Udogie’s friend.

It has been claimed that the row escalated after he chose not to use the agent’s services.

The agent represents a couple of stars including an England international, and he was arrested two days after the incident when police swooped on his Hertfordshire home.

He was given bail on September 9 with the condition that he did not contact the Tottenham defender, while he has been banned from visiting the club’s training ground.

The 22-year-old left-back has featured in ten games across all competitions for Tottenham so far in 2025-26 after playing in 36 games last term and helping the club win the Europa League.

Udogie joined Spurs from Hellas Verona in 2022, spending the 2022-23 season on loan with Udinese before moving to North London in the summer of 2023.

He featured in 30 games in his debut campaign, getting nominated for the Premier League Young Player of the Season Award at the end of the 2023-24 term.

Udogie was included when manager Gennaro Gattuso announced a 27-man squad for the October World Cup qualifiers, and he is expected to be invited to the national team this month.
