Tottenham Hotspur arrive at tonight’s Champions League meeting with Slavia Prague knowing that automatic progression remains within reach, yet the sense of disruption around the squad has sharpened in recent days. Rotation has been a familiar feature under Thomas Frank and once again the expectation is for adjustments as Spurs chase a controlled performance under the lights at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The most significant update surrounds Destiny Udogie, who has been ruled out with a hamstring problem. Brennan Johnson is described as “touch and go” for involvement, creating fresh uncertainty in the forward line. Spurs continue to operate without Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison and Yves Bissouma, while Mathys Tel remains unavailable after being excluded from the squad for the league phase. There is some movement behind the scenes, with Radu Dragusin and Kota Takai building fitness after featuring in friendlies at the training ground.
Xavi Simons enters the night in strong form after scoring and assisting in the win over Brentford at the weekend, providing a timely spark in the final third. Frank may again trust him from the outset as Tottenham Hotspur look to impose themselves early.Wilson Odobert is another option to alter the rhythm of the attack, with Richarlison potentially stepping aside if fresh legs are prioritised.

Midfield rotation also feels probable. Lucas Bergvall, Pape Matar Sarr and Joao Palhinha all present credible cases for selection as Spurs look to control territory and tempo. With Slavia Prague still searching for their first Champions League win of the campaign, the coaching staff could also use the occasion to rest either Cristian Romero or Micky van de Ven as the festive calendar tightens.

Injured: Udogie, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Maddison, SolankeDoubt: JohnsonIneligible: Tel, Takai, Dragusin
