Spurs have spent big on their impressive new stadium and are keen to see the off pitch progress reflected on it under manager Ange Postecoglou.

They have failed to finish in the top four for the last two seasons, while a lengthy trophy drought also continues at the club.

It has been suggested that Tottenham could be in line for a new owner in the shape of Dallas Cowboys supremo Jones.

He was claimed to have arrived in London to hold talks about taking control of Spurs.

However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, that talk is wide of the mark and Jones is not in discussions to buy Tottenham.

The north London side are exploring bringing in a minority investor, but they are not looking at a full sale for now.

Jones is thought to be worth over $16 billion, with his Dallas Cowboys side valued at $5 billion.
