Dominic Solanke will not play against Everton this weekend while Rodrigo Bentancur has also been ruled out.

The Uruguayan suffered a nasty clash of heads during the second half of the draw with Leicester on Monday night, and was knocked out in the process.

In more positive news, Pedro Porro has been pictured in training after picking up a knock on Monday.

Richarlison returned from injury to be afforded a late cameo against Leicester and Yves Bissouma is available again after being handed a ban by the club.

Dominic Solanke

Solanke picked up an ankle issue in the draw at Leicester which has since flared up, ruling him out against Everton. Postecoglou hopes he’ll be back the week after, however.

He said: “Dom picked up a knock in the last game so he got through the game but it flared up the day after, so he'll miss tomorrow.

“It just depends on his recovery [when he returns], obviously we've got the international break. but it's not serious.”

Potential return date: Sunday September 1, vs Newcastle

Pedro Porro

Pedro Porro scored Spurs' first goal of the season, nodding home a deft header from a James Maddison cross, but had to be forced off in the second half against Leicester.

The right-back was clearly playing through a painful knock for a number of minutes before being replaced by Djed Spence.

However, Porro was spotted in training with Spurs on Thursday and Spurs have confirmed that he will be considered to face Everton.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Tottenham will be without Rodrigo Bentancur for the visit of Everton on Saturday after he suffered a sickening head injury at King Power Stadium.

Bentancur appeared to accidentally clash heads with Abdul Fatawu before he slammed into the grass. He received lengthy treatment and subsequently left on a stretcher and received oxygen.

Postecoglou confirmed Bentancur was "conscious and communicating" post-match and the Uruguay midfielder travelled back on the team bus. Concussion protocols, however, mean he will almost certainly be absent from Saturday's match with Everton.

“We respect concussion protocols and [with] any head injury we'll always be a little more conservative,” said the head coach. “The good news is he's bounced back really well, done all the tests, but we'll take our time with Rodrigo before putting him back out there.”

Yves Bissouma

Tottenham suspended Yves Bissouma for their first game of the Premier League season at Leicester City on Monday night after uploading footage of himself inhaling laughing gas.

Ange Postecoglou confirmed the news ahead of the game, and said the midfielder will have to rebuild trust with himself and the squad. Bissouma also apologised publicly for a "severe lack of judgement".

Bissouma was handed a one-game ban, so is back in contention to face Everton but it remains to be seen if Postecoglou affords him a matchday squad spot.

The Australian confirmed on Friday: “Biss is available but we've got some options there and the whole idea of bulking up the squad in pre-season was for these kinds of scenarios. He's available for selection but the bridge building continues.”

Fraser Forster

Forster has returned to first-team training and hopes to be back in the matchday squad before the end of the month.

“Richy and Fraser have got back into training this week and both had a good block of training,” the manager said.

“With another week’s training before the start of the season hopefully, they’ll be in a good place. Everyone else has had a pretty good pre-season.”

Potential return date: Late August 2024

Will Lankshear

A hamstring injury will reportedly keep the young striker out for a couple of weeks.

Potential return date: September 2024
