Tottenham have parted company with head coach Thomas Frank, according to L'Équipe. The decision followed a 1-2 home defeat by Newcastle in the Premier League on Tuesday.
The 52-year-old Dane was dismissed hours after he had maintained his position was not under threat. Frank arrived in June to replace Ange Postecoglou, and his exit marks another change on the touchline. It will be the ninth head coach since Mauricio Pochettino left in November 2019.
Despite finishing fourth in the Champions League league phase, Spurs have not won a Premier League match since December, a run of nine games without victory.
Across their last 17 league fixtures, they have won only two, leaving them 16th, five points above the relegation zone.
Frank departs with an overall record of 13 wins, 10 draws and 15 defeats from 38 matches in charge.
