Heung-min Son wasteful as Radu Dragusin also struggles during nightmare first half at Goodison Park
Tottenham’s dreadful Premier League form continued as they were beaten 3-2 by Everton at Goodison Park following an abject first-half display.
Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Iliman Ndiaye and an Archie Gray own goal gave the Toffees a 3-0 lead by the interval in a transformed performance under new head coach David Moyes.
Spurs improved after the break, with Dejan Kulusevski pulling a goal back before substitute Richarlison struck against his former club in stoppage time.
Here’s how we rated the Spurs players at Goodison…
Antonin Kinsky 7
Kept the scoreline respectable with a string of saves, including turning Orel Mangala’s shot onto the post in the first half.
Archie Gray 4
In a new role on the right of the back three, the teenager had his roughest afternoon for Spurs. Turned inside out by Calvert-Lewin for the opener and kneed a cross into his own net for the third goal.
Radu Dragusin 3
Beaten by Ndiaye for Everton's second goal and often went long in possession. Hooked at half-time after suffering a head injury.
Ben Davies 6
Made a chance for Son with a raking pass and looked to drive forward in possession. One of the best of a bad bunch.
Pedro Porro 5
Back at wing-back in the first half, the Spaniard offered little in the way of thrust going forward nor cover defensively.
Djed Spence 6
Confident on the ball, as usual, but stretched going backwards.
Lucas Bergvall 5
Overrun at the base of midfield in what was a tough outing for the teenager.
Pape Matar Sarr 5
Anonymous in midfield in another below-par display. Has faded recently, suggesting that he is among the players who could do with a rest.
Dejan Kulusevski 7
Gave Spurs a glimmer of hope with a beautifully-taken consolation goal, chipping three defenders with a first-time finish.
James Maddison 6
Found some pockets of space and occasionally showed flashes of skill. Involved in the build-up to Kulusevski's goal.
Heung-min Son 5
Had three good openings in the first half-hour, twice drawing saves from Jordan Pickford. Dispossessed by a great tackle from James Tarkowski in his first sight of goal.
Spurs needed him to score at least one chance to be in the game.
Richarlison (Dragusin 46’) 7
Looked rusty but scored again against his former club, having earlier tested Pickford. His return is positive news, particularly with Dominic Solanke suffering a knee injury in training.
Mikey Moore (Sarr 73’) 8
Made Richarlison's goal with a superb deep cross. Involved in the build-up to Kulusevski's goal, too, and got into some good positions in a bright cameo.
Not used: Austin, Reguilon, Yang, Lankshear, Ajayi, Olusesi, Hardy.
