The atmosphere at Tottenham has reportedly grown toxic, with fresh claims suggesting the dressing room has lost faith in head coach Thomas Frank.

According to a new update from a prominent insider, significant friction exists behind the scenes, with players believe that the Danish manager is ‘waiting’ to be sacked.

However, a staggering financial obstacle may be complicating the club’s decision-making process.

What Spurs players think about Thomas Frank

In a post on X, the insider claimed that the mood within the squad is one of resignation regarding Frank’s tenure.

The post read: “Some Tottenham players believe Thomas Frank is waiting to be sacked. If Spurs were to sack Thomas Frank, they would likely have to pay a severance package in the region of £20m. This figure is based on reports regarding the remainder of his contract.”

The £20m figure highlights the significant financial commitment Chairman Daniel Levy made when appointing Frank just over six months ago to replace Ange Postecoglou.

With Frank tied to a long-term deal, terminating his contract prematurely would represent a costly error for the Tottenham hierarchy, potentially impacting their January transfer budget.

Thomas Frank under mounting pressure at Tottenham

The report comes amidst a dismal run of form that has seen Tottenham sitting in mid-table, currently sitting 14th in the Premier League.

Frank, who was brought in to bring defensive stability and tactical structure after the high-octane “Ange-ball” era, has found himself the target of frustrated supporters.

In fact, Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro clashed with the fans after their 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth.
