Tottenham post LinkedIn advert for team psychologist | OneFootball

Tottenham have posted a LinkedIn advert for a psychologist to support the first team as they face a relegation fight with five matches remaining. Spurs are 18th in the Premier League and need points urgently.

According to The Times, the initiative came from Roberto De Zerbi, with the listing still live on the club’s LinkedIn page.

The club wants an embedded practitioner working day to day with the senior squad. It frames the position as a high-impact role aimed at building a psychology-led performance culture.

Duties include leading psychological support for elite players, providing individual casework, and collaborating systemically with coaching and performance staff. Continued development of team-wide psychological processes is also part of the brief.

Applicants are expected to be credible, discreet and highly effective in a Premier League environment. They must earn trust from players and coaches while meeting the demands of top-level football.

De Zerbi was appointed on 31 March, less than two months after leaving Marseille. He arrived with assistant Marcattilio Marcattilii and Marcello Quinto, who oversees the professional development phase, a remit that appears complementary to a psychologist’s work.
