Tottenham pushing to beat Lazio for Sergi Dominguez | OneFootball

Serie A side Lazio have been linked with a move for Dinamo Zagreb’s Sergi Dominguez but are facing major competition from Tottenham.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that even if there has been talk of the Roman side offering about €4 million for the Spaniard, his actual value is much higher. This won’t cause problems to Tottenham, who have wrapped up a move for Marcos Senesi.

After the Argentine, they want to sign two more defenders and one could be Dominguez himself.

Lazio have contacted the 21-year-old’s agents but Tottenham are now ready to push forward too. They have made direct contact with Dinamo Zagreb and could push further, with Dominguez’s value believed to be three times more than what Lazio have offered.

Dominguez could’ve replaced Gila

There has been talk around Mario Gila’s future at Lazio and it remains uncertain, with his contract running out in 2027. 

The way things are going, Tottenham should be favourites to land Dominguez. They won’t hand him regular first-team football but under Roberto De Zerbi, they can guarantee him the pathway towards development. Micky Van De Ven and Cristian Romero can yet depart and this can also lead to uncertainty in Spurs’ backline which Dominguez can take advantage of.
