WSL Football has had to apologise to Tottenham Hotspur following a controversial draw last night for the League Cup knock-out rounds.
A ball had been pulled out of a bag and then accidentally dropped back in with requests for the full footage of the draw, which was broadcasted on TikTok, having been made.
The governing body clarified that the same number did come out again as otherwise the draw would have been redone.
In a busy evening, WSL Football then had to apologise to Tottenham Hotspur after comments by celebrity guest GK Barry that echoed an anti-Spurs chant sung by Arsenal fans.
The draw did eventually set up a semi-finals between the winners of Crystal Palace v Arsenal and Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur and the other semi-final featuring the winner of West Ham United v Manchester City and Liverpool v Chelsea.
Quarter-finals will be played late in December with semi-finals to be played in January.
