Spurs are in the market for attacking reinforcements, with Dejan Kulusevski set to be sidelined for some time. They have identified Savinho as a replacement for the Swede.

Lauded as ‘unbelievable’ by City manager Pep Guardiola, signing Savinho would have allowed Tottenham to shift Mohammed Kudus to his natural position in the middle.

An attacking line-up of Brennan Johnson, Kudus and Savinho would have been a fearsome force for any Premier League defence..

Tottenham should look at PSG star

Tottenham should consider a deadline week swoop for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kang-in Lee.

They got an up-close view of what he can do when he speared in a shot to lead PSG’s comeback versus Spurs in the UEFA Super Cup.

The South Korean star recorded six goals in 30 Ligue 1 appearances last season.

Lee is an underrated creator who will seamlessly fill the void left by James Maddison and Kulusevski.

He could jump at the chance to play consistently for Spurs, a place where South Korean icon Heung-min Son established a lasting legacy.

Tottenham can offer him opportunities, and he can take his game to the next level. He has everything to be a world-class player, but needs to join a club which appreciates his talents.
