Tottenham have confirmed Thomas Frank’s full backroom staff after they negotiated at length to secure the services of his former Brentford colleagues.

Frank was announced as Ange Postecoglou’s successor on Thursday evening. He makes the switch from West to North London after spending nine years with the Bees, initially joining as an assistant coach before being promoted to the top job in 2018.

He helped bring Brentford back to the top flight and secured their now five-year stay there. An innovative and versatile manager, Frank will look to extend Spurs’ trophy-winning form after they clinched the Europa League in May.

But in leaving the club to join Spurs, he will now take with him much of the framework that inspired the Bees to one of their most successful eras.

Cochrane is a highly rated coach and also serves in Thomas Tuchel’s England setup. He previously spent close to a decade coaching in Spurs’ academy.

And the club have now confirmed that Frank got his man, with Cochrane deciding to join the Dane at Spurs amid reports he could take on the now-vacant head coach role at Brentford.

The Bees’ head of athletic performance Chris Haslam also makes the move as Head of Performance and First Team Assistant Coach, as does analyst Joe Newton.

He has also poached set-piece coach Andreas Georgson from Manchester United, the pair reuniting for the first time since the Swede left Brentford for Arsenal in 2020.

Postecoglou’s backroom was swiftly dismantled after the announcement of his sacking. Spurs confirmed on Thursday morning that assistant coaches Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo had left their posts, while Ryan Mason has taken over as head coach of West Brom. Matt Wells and Rob Burch have remained with the club.
