Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has signed a new long-term contract, committing his future to the north London club.
The Uruguayan, who arrived from Juventus in January 2022, has become a key figure in Spurs’ midfield, making over 120 appearances.
Despite suffering a serious knee injury in 2023 and enduring a stop-start return to fitness, the 27-year-old remains central to Thomas Frank's plans.
The extension represents a strong vote of confidence from Tottenham. Bentancur’s time in north London has been marked by both impressive form and difficult setbacks.
The 28-year-old has already made nine appearances in all competitions this season, highlighting his importance to Frank.
