Thomas Frank takes on his former club for the first time since making the switch to north London in the summer

Thomas Frank takes centre stage this weekend as his new club faces his former side in the Premier League.

Tottenham host Brentford in a London derby with pressure building on Frank following a dismal run of one win in eight games across all competitions.

Furthermore, Spurs’ struggles at home are well documented with just one league win in N17 all season - and that came against newly-promoted Burnley in matchweek one.

Though, Wednesday night’s fightback to earn a draw at Newcastle has provided some slight respite for Frank but he faces the nightmare prospect of falling below his former club in the table if they lose.

For Brentford, it is a second visit to north London in a matter of days after being beaten 2-0 by Arsenal on Wednesday night, suffering their sixth league loss on the road this season.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game…

Date, kick-off time and venue

Tottenham vs Brentford is scheduled for a 3pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

The match will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham vs Brentford team news

Thomas Frank does not have any fresh injury concerns to tend with following the 2-2 draw with Newcastle.

Frank has a big decision to make over Xavi Simons having not started the summer signing in games against Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Fulham or Newcastle.

Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski remain sidelined but Radu Dragusin could be named in a senior matchday squad for the first time this season.

As for Brentford, top scorer Igor Thiago is expected to be restored to the starting XI after coming on as a substitute in the loss to Arsenal.

Tottenham vs Brentford prediction

Tottenham cannot buy a league win at home and Brentford have struggled away from home under Keith Andrews so far.

Similar was said last weekend before Spurs faced Fulham and the Cottagers found themselves 2-0 up after six minutes en route to their first away league win of the campaign.

We think lighting will strike twice with the Bees emulating their west London neighbours.

Brentford to win, 2-1.
