Tottenham XI vs Wolves – Predicted lineup and team news

Tottenham Hotspur face their biggest game of the season as they fight for survival against Wolves on Saturday.

Roberto De Zerbi is desperate to end a fifteen-game winless run in the Premier League. Spurs sit eighteenth in the table and are two points adrift of safety. They are yet to win a single league match during the 2026 calendar year. Failure to beat bottom-club Wolves could leave the squad feeling dangerously low.

De Zerbi was proud of the energy shown in the 2-2 draw with Brighton. Xavi Simons has excelled recently, being involved in four goals in two starts. However, he is yet to score an away goal for the North Londoners. Tottenham won seven of their first eight games when scoring first this season. That said, they have since won none of their last five after going 1-0 up.

Tottenham Hotspur team news

Destiny Udogie is out of Saturday’s clash after picking up a muscular injury. Roberto De Zerbi described the full-back as a crucial player in his absence. Djed Spence is available to deputise on the left side of the defence. Pape Matar Sarr remains out after missing the Brighton game with a shoulder issue. Guglielmo Vicario is closing in on a return but is not yet fit.

James Maddison is not fully available yet after feeling pain during training this week. Tomorrow he is coming with the squad because he is an important leader. De Zerbi wants positive people in the dressing room for this survival fight. Ben Davies, Dejan Kulusevski, and Wilson Odobert remain sidelined with various injuries. Mo Kudus and Cristian Romero are also still unavailable for selection.

Rodrigo Bentancur solidified the central midfield upon his recent return to the team. He is likely to partner Bissouma in the heart of the Spurs lineup. Kolo Muani, Gallagher, and Simons will likely support Dominic Solanke in attack. De Zerbi believes his squad can win all five remaining games. That said, they must avoid the crushing blows that damaged confidence recently.
