Guglielmo Vicario has expressed his approval for a potential move to Inter, signaling his openness to return to Serie A as the Nerazzurri search for a new number one.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Tottenham goalkeeper has given a green light of sorts to the Italian giants, indicating that he would welcome the transfer to the San Siro. Inter have been active behind the scenes, holding talks with the goalkeeper’s entourage in recent weeks to gauge the feasibility of the operation. Despite this positive dialogue, the club remains cautious and does not intend to go overboard with their spending for the position.

The main obstacle continues to be the financial demands from London. Tottenham are holding out for a fee between €25m and €30m to part ways with the former Empoli star. This valuation is set to be the primary talking point in negotiations this summer. While Vicario’s approval gives Inter a clear advantage in terms of the player’s will, the club must now work on finding a compromise with Spurs that fits within their budgetary constraints.
