Roma is considering Francesco Totti’s return to the club.
The Friedkins have already presented the Captain with an offer: a two-year contract worth just over half a million net per year to serve as the club’s ambassador in its centenary year.
A few months ago, Gasperini opened up to the potential inclusion of the Giallorossi icon, whom he had already met with at an informal dinner where they discussed football.
As reported by Piero Torri, Totti’s return has been postponed.
The Captain, in fact, has rejected the Friedkins’ initial offer. Negotiations are continuing, with no clear conclusions.
The negotiations for Totti’s return to the club require further meetings and proposals to reach a happy conclusion. Both parties would like to reach a final conclusion, but different foundations will need to be laid.
The issue of the divorce between the Captain and his ex-wife Ilary Blasi is also pending, given that the crucial hearing has been moved from April 30th to May 21st.
Furthermore, following Claudio Ranieri’s departure, Totti would like to have a more operational role, closer to the team. Ryan Friedkin is in Rome, which is why further contact between the parties could take place in the coming days to discuss this matter as well.
