Francesco Totti, the legendary captain of Roma, discussed the team’s progress under Gian Piero Gasperini as well as their place in the table.

“Scudetto favorites? Napoli, Milan, and Inter. I think these teams will battle it out until the very end,” said Totti.

“I’ve reevaluated Milan because, by playing once a week, they have more recovery time and more time to organize. Plus, they have a great coach in Allegri who can manage everything.”

During the Grand Slam Padel Show, the former captain spoke again about his Roma team and admitted he still hasn’t fully grasped Gasperini’s influence on the Giallorossi team: “Gasperini’s work hasn’t been seen yet. I’m not speaking as a fan, but as an insider. I’m not seeing what I saw at Atalanta; they have different players now.”

“But if this is the Gasperini effect, then it’s welcome, given that we’re top without seeing the real Gasperini. When the team starts playing the way he wants them to, it means we’ll be off to a great start.”
