Toulouse reject Sevilla’s Cristian Casseres bid | OneFootball

According to a report from L’Équipe, Toulouse FC have rejected a bid from Sevilla for Cristian Casseres (25).

Casseres is looking to make the next step in his career in the near future, and Sevilla were prepared to offer him that opportunity. Sevilla submitted an offer of €8m in recent days, however, this has been rejected by the Ligue 1 club, who are holding out for €14m.

It comes after the Venezuela international (44 caps) was the subject of interest from several clubs during the summer transfer window, including Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga sides. Le TéFéCé have shown themselves to be keen to retain the midfielder, who is nonetheless out of contract at the end of next season.

A key player for Carles Martínez Novell’s side, he has made 17 appearances in all competitions this season, registering two assists in that time. It will therefore take a significant sum to prise the player away from the club.
