Trabzonspor prepare approach for Benfica winger Sidny Lopes Cabral | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Trabzonspor are weighing a move for Benfica winger Sidny Lopes Cabral and are preparing to contact Benfica to learn the terms of a possible switch to Türkiye.

The 23-year-old is not in José Mourinho’s plans and has an exit route open, so he is unlikely to remain at Benfica in 2026/27.

Cabral arrived recently and is still searching for consistent first-team impact. Signed as an attacking reinforcement and tipped as a potential starter, he has yet to convince, with adaptation proving harder than expected.

He has lost ground in recent weeks. He has not been an option for Mourinho since 21 March, the 3-0 win over Vitória de Guimarães.

Across this season with Estrela da Amadora and Benfica, Cabral, valued at five million euros, has played 28 official matches. That includes 23 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, two in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. In 1,835 minutes he has recorded six goals and six assists.

Beyond Trabzonspor, the winger is also drawing interest from other markets, notably the Netherlands.
