Trabzonspor are accelerating their summer rebuild, pushing for Darwin Nunez after landing Mohamed Salah, while talks for Leandro Paredes have collapsed.
61saat reports that Trabzonspor have a preliminary agreement worth €8 million with the Uruguayan striker, and that Nunez has accepted. The move depends on Al Hilal approving a plan to cover part of his salary, a decision expected today. If the response is positive, an announcement could follow tomorrow.
Nunez, 27, has scored 117 goals and supplied 51 assists in 306 senior games. He would arrive as a heavyweight partner for Salah in attack.
According to Ole, people close to Paredes say his World Cup form has revived European interest from several clubs. Those sources indicate he intends to remain with Boca Juniors in Argentina for now, ending any move to the Turkish league.
With one deal nearing completion and another off the table, Trabzonspor continue an aggressive recruitment drive before the new season.
