Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor are showing interest in the signing of Nantes centre-back Jean-Charles Castelletto (28), according to a report this Thursday from L’Équipe.
The French outlet reports that several clubs are keeping tabs on the Cameroon international, including Serie A side Cagliari. Trabzonspor have reportedly submitted a €2.5m bid to sign Castelletto. The Nantes defender still has three years left on his contract with Les Canaris. Castelletto was appointed vice-captain by Nantes head coach Pierre Aristouy at the start of the season.
Losing Castelletto would be another serious blow for Aristouy, following the sale of Brazilian centre-back Andrei Girotto to Saudi Arabian club Al-Tawoon. The French publication reports that Nantes are not keen to part ways with the Cameroon international. The Ligue 1 side have, however, set an €8m price tag on Castelletto, in the event that the latter put in a transfer request. Nantes are set to sign Boavista centre-back Chidozie Awaziem for a €1.5m deal.
