Trabzonspor are looking to sign Benfica winger Sidny Cabral quickly to avoid competition and a possible rise in price before the 2026 World Cup, A Spor reports.

The club from Türkiye want the deal wrapped up before the tournament, which runs from 11 June to 19 July in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Benfica number 15 is due to represent Cabo Verde, potentially increasing his market visibility.

The Cabo Verde international joined Benfica in the winter window from Estrela da Amadora in a transfer worth six million euros. He initially earned minutes under José Mourinho, featuring regularly between January and February.

His role diminished after the Champions League play-off against Real Madrid. Internal displeasure followed his request for Vinícius Júnior's shirt, and he drifted from the first-team picture.

Across 2025/26 with Estrela da Amadora and Benfica, Cabral is valued at five million euros and has played 28 official matches. Those include 23 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, two in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. He has logged 1,835 minutes, scoring six goals and supplying six assists.
