Former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin claims that Chelsea would sell Cole Palmer because they are a “trading club”.

Palmer has been the subject of rumours linking him to a move to Manchester United – something that just does not seem to go away right now with constant noise surrounding it.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea ‘intensively’ scouting Greece international – This one could have legs to it

Palmer has links to United being a Manchester lad and quite clearly having a bit of boyhood love for them. But there has been nothing at all right now to suggest that United are going to try and sign him, or that he is going to try and leave Chelsea anytime soon, or that Chelsea would even accept any offers for him. In fact, all we have been hearing is quite the opposite of this.

But even with all of that said, the rumours around him leaving are just floating around in the air like a bad smell.

Former fan favourite Nevin believes Chelsea are a trading club and they would sell Palmer to United.

In words picked up by The Daily Express, Nevin said:

“I don’t think it comes down to whether Chelsea would sell [Cole Palmer]. They would [sell him].

“Would Man United want him? They probably would. Chelsea are a trading club. They bought Palmer and they could sell him at a massive profit, and that’s what they do.”

I don’t personally think Chelsea will be looking to sell Palmer any time soon, not at all.

In other news today…

Sevilla have just wrapped up a deal for a player who was being strongly linked to Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg.

Chelsea had been tracking Omari Kellyman for two years before he eventually signed for the Blues for £19m, a source told the Athletic.
