James Trafford made his senior England debut in the Three Lions’ 1-1 draw with Uruguay at Wembley.
Selected in the starting line-up alongside Manchester City teammate Phil Foden, the goalkeeper was only beaten by a Federico Valverde penalty deep into second-half stoppage time.
It took until the 81st minute for the hosts to break the deadlock when Ben White tucked home from close range at the back post at a corner.
With England looking to see out the victory, the referee awarded Marcelo Bielsa’s side a penalty after adjudging the Arsenal defender to have committed a foul inside the box after consulting VAR.
The Real Madrid midfielder then slammed an unstoppable effort past City’s stopper.
Trafford played the full 90 minute on a memorable evening for City’s Academy graduate, meanwhile, Foden was substituted just before the hour mark and John Stones was unused.

By featuring for England, Trafford and Foden were two of 10 City stars in action on the international stage on Friday night.

The versatile defender was joined in the starting line-up by City teammates Max Alleyne and Divin Mubama – who is currently on loan at Stoke.
Tijjani Reijnders was also on the scoresheet, netting for the Netherlands as they came from a goal down to beat Norway.
Stale Solbakken’s team took the lead through Andreas Schjelderup, but the advantage was cancelled out by Virgil van Dijk’s equaliser.
Ronald Koeman’s team flipped the friendly on its head shortly after the break when City’s midfielder controlled well inside the area before coolly slotting into the net.

Rayan Ait-Nouri played the full 90 minutes, helping Algeria to beat Guatemala 7-0.
First-half goals from Amine Gouiri, Riyad Mahrez and Achref Abada gave Vladimir Petkovic’s side a commanding lead at the break.
Houssem Aouar extended the advantage following the interval before Gouiri scored again ahead of Fares Ghedjemis and Nadir Benbouali rounding off the scoring.
Spain selected Rodri in their starting line-up before they beat Serbia 3-0. A first-half brace from Mikel Oyarzabal gave the hosts the advantage at half-time.
After the break, Victor Munoz extended the reigning European champions’ lead before City’s midfielder was substituted on 77 minutes.
Antoine Semenyo started for Ghana in their 5-1 away defeat to Austria.
Marcel Sabitzer’s penalty gave the hosts the lead in the 12th minute before second-half strikes from Michael Gregoritsch and Stefan Posch extended Ralf Rangnick’s side.
Ghana pulled a goal back through Jordan Ayew, but further Austrian efforts from Carney Chukwuemeka and Nicolas Seiwald sealed the success.
And Omar Marmoush scored for Egypt in their 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia - netting their fourth of the evening following goals from Islam Issa, Trezeguet and Zizo.
