Inter Milan goalkeeper Josep Martinez was involved in a tragic car accident on his way to training this morning, reportedly hitting and killing an elderly man in an electric wheelchair.

According to La Repubblica, an 81-year-old elderly person passed away on the spot despite receiving immediate medical assistance.

According to the report, the Inter Milan goalkeeper hit an elderly man in an electric wheelchair earlier this morning.

As the initial reconstruction of the incident says, the victim, an 81-year-old man, may have been suffering from a health issue.

Tragically, he entered the driving lane where Martinez was driving his car on.

However, the Spaniard immediately came out of his vehicle to check on the victim and offer assistance.

Meanwhile, the helicopter rescue team, an ambulance, and the police arrived on the scene quickly.

However, despite their best efforts, they could do nothing but pronounce him dead on the spot.
