There has recently been speculation that Bayern could still bring in a player for the left wing. And that seems to be exactly the case. At least that is reportedly the plan

Bayern close to Liverpool star

As David Ornstein, reporter at The Athletic, now reports, FC Bayern have Rio Ngumoha from Liverpool FC on their radar. This comes as a surprise, as Ornstein is an absolute top source and is very well connected on the international market

There has been no direct contact between the clubs and Liverpool are also reluctant to sell the player, but a good offer and corresponding market opportunities for the Reds could cause movement in this regard. As Liverpool want to sign at least one winger and are interested in Yan Diomande, things could get tight for Ngumoha anyway

The question, however, is whether Bayern will be able to raise enough funds, as Ngumoha is anything but cheap. He has already performed very well as a substitute for the Reds and has played many good games

The interest is still at an early stage, but it shows the ambition of the record champions this summer

In the coming days and weeks, Munich will sound out how realistic a deal is and where the Reds‘ pain threshold lies.
