According to consistent media reports, preparations for the upcoming summer transfer window are already in full swing at FC Bayern. Max Eberl and Christoph Freund are sounding out the market intensively in order to further develop the squad in a targeted manner. In this context, a familiar name has now resurfaced: Kai Havertz
The German international has been regularly linked with a move to Säbener Straße for years. According to information from the portal Fichajes, FC Bayern are once again looking at the Arsenal FC attacker. The 26-year-old’s versatility is particularly valued in Munich, as he can take on several roles in attack and therefore appears to be tactically interesting

Kai Havertz can play both as a centre-forward and in a position behind him in attacking midfield. In Munich, he would therefore theoretically cover several positions at once – as a backup for Harry Kane, but also as a hanging striker or link player in the center. It is precisely this flexibility that has made Havertz attractive to many top clubs in the past
In sporting terms, the former Leverkusen player has recently made an impressive comeback. After a lengthy knee injury that kept him out of action for almost five months, Havertz celebrated his comeback for Arsenal a few days ago. In his first three appearances, he was directly involved in three goals, underlining his importance for the Gunners. His contract in London runs until 2028 and his current market value is estimated at around 55 million euros
It is interesting to note Fichajes ‚ assessment that the competitive situation at the Premier League leaders is now so fierce that Arsenal would be willing to discuss an attractive offer. A sale in the summer is therefore not a taboo subject
Despite all the sporting qualities and the general appreciation, a transfer to FC Bayern seems rather unlikely on closer inspection. Munich are pursuing clear priorities in attack. Above all, they are looking for a new winger for the left flank to create more depth and penetration. Havertz does not have precisely this profile
The role of Kane backup is also unlikely to appeal to the DFB star. Havertz is in his prime and will hardly be prepared to permanently slot in behind a world-class striker. In attacking midfield, on the other hand, FC Bayern already has an excellent line-up. With Jamal Musiala as a fixture and super talent Lennart Karl, who is seen internally as a project for the future, there is no acute need for action there.
