The winter window is shut and attention already turns to summer business, with Morgan Rogers prominent and Premier League plans under review. According to NY Times, this final Transfer DealSheet sets out what happened and what could follow.
Rogers, 23, was PFA Young Player of the Year in August and signed new Aston Villa terms to 2031. He is central to Villa’s title push and major suitors may still test the club’s resolve.
Raheem Sterling is a free agent after leaving Chelsea on 28 January and has held talks in the UK and abroad. He has not played since May and can sign outside the window.
Arsenal made no senior additions. Ethan Nwaneri joined Marseille on loan with no option and no recall, late interest in Sandro Tonali went nowhere, and academy recruits included Evan Mooney and Jaden Dixon.
Chelsea focused on exits, recalled Mamadou Sarr, and signed Yisa Alao. They missed Jeremy Jacquet to Liverpool, considered Douglas Luiz, and still want a centre-back, a midfielder and an attacker.
Liverpool made no first-team changes, secured Jacquet for summer and blocked Andy Robertson’s proposed move to Tottenham. Centre-back and winger depth remain priorities amid Ibrahima Konate’s contract uncertainty.
Manchester City landed Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo and sold Oscar Bobb. Manchester United did no business and will part with Casemiro in summer, with a midfield rebuild planned.
Tottenham sold Brennan Johnson, signed Conor Gallagher and Souza, added James Wilson on loan, and failed with moves for Semenyo, Savinho and Andy Robertson.
