The race for a French attacking talent is gathering pace, with several top clubs being mentioned, including FC Bayern

The name Eli Junior Kroupi is now being mentioned by several heavyweights after an eye-catching season in England. According to L’Équipe, the 19-year-old attacker from Premier League club Bournemouth is on Paris Saint-Germain’s list. Despite the celebrations, the newly crowned Champions League winners are already working on their squad for the coming season. FC Bayern have also recently been linked with the attacker

Kroupi left a clear mark in his first season in England’s top division, scoring 13 goals in 33 appearances to help Bournemouth qualify for international football for the first time. His market value also increased rapidly: according to Transfermarkt.de, he rose from €15 million to €40 million in just one season

The attacker was also considered a possible candidate for the French World Cup squad, but coach Didier Deschamps did not call him up in the end. Nevertheless, Kroupi would be an obvious addition to PSG’s French-influenced attack, which already includes two French World Cup players in Bradley Barcola and Désiré Doué

In addition to Paris, other top European clubs have been linked with Kroupi, with English media naming Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea as potential suitors. Bayern Munich have also reported their interest in the Frenchman

For Bournemouth, a potential sale could be extremely lucrative financially. The club paid just 13 million euros to Kroupi’s home club Lorient in 2025. Based on his performances in the Premier League, the transfer fee is likely to be significantly higher should one of the clubs mentioned make a serious move. According to the BBC, Bournemouth could demand 80 million pounds – the equivalent of around 92 million euros.
